"Wild & Wonderful" West Virginia...

We left last night!!

Mom blessed our car for safe travels:) (with holy water of course) man, we love that woman!

An hour and a half into the road trip a little orange light with the acronym TPMS came up on our dashboard. Hmm…what is that you ask? Yeah, we didn’t know either so Stephanie had to open up the owners manual to figure that one out. TPMS = Tire Pressure Maintenance System and if the light is on it means its NOT working!!!! Awesome, we’re off to a great start.

A half hour later a bird pooped on our windshield and the light disappeared.  This is supposed to be good luck! Coincidence?? We think not:)

With two hours left until we reach our hotel we decided to stop at a rest stop. There the sweet smell of cinnamon buns and Starbucks coffee made us realize we were starving! Luckily, we have a plethora of food in the car to hold us over. (refer to previous blog entry)

The drive through West Virginia is beautiful with a mountainous view. The leaves on the trees are already changing colorsJ However, as we passed the houses strategically placed on hills and miles away from each other and any sort of life, we wonder….where do these people go food shopping?? Is there a movie theater around to go on an awkward first date with your second cousin?? These are the questions we’ve asked ourselves and we have yet to find the answer. We never passed a super market, we never passed a  movie theater. We did however pass cows pasturing, horses in peoples backyards, and 15 pick up trucks within a ½ mile radius.

We woke up in the morning just in time for the free continental breakfast!! The other early risers were looking at us funny when we left with 5 bagels and 10 packets of cream cheese. We figure if we get pulled over we can weasel our way out of a ticket if we offer the cop a well balanced breakfast:)

With bagels and coffee in tow, we head to our next location which is the Little River Café.

We sit here @ the Little River Café now. Stay tuned to find out where we end up next!!

Happy Trails!
